The Very Good Seed Project

Located on Mechoopda land in Chico, California, the Very Good Seed Project aims to steward seed that is locally adapted to our region's growing conditions by selecting for vigor, drought tolerance, flavor, abundance, and disease resistance. By engaging in both promiscuous pollination and hand pollination, we aim to create a detailed seedbank that offers a variety of seed that has been saved year after year and proven a great variety for our community.
